The Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the City of Concord, is thrilled to announce its 8th Annual Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit. This annual public art initiative offers sculptors a unique opportunity to have their work displayed throughout the city, creating an open-air gallery that enhances Concord’s cultural landscape.

An Opportunity for Local Artists

Sculptors from across the region are invited to submit their work for consideration by April 25, 2025. Selected artists will receive a $500 stipend for their participation, along with the potential to renew for an additional year and receive another stipend. Over the years, this exhibit has helped artists gain exposure, with several sculptures being purchased and permanently installed in Concord.

Bringing Art to the Heart of Concord

Since its launch in 2018, the outdoor sculpture exhibit has been a key component of “Art on Main,” which is an initiative designed to enrich the city’s streetscape with vibrant, thought-provoking artwork. Originally centered on Main Street, the program expanded further in 2022 to include other key locations across Concord, making public art more accessible to the community.

The sculptures are available for purchase, with a 30% commission from sales supporting visual arts programs in Concord. The Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce manages all inquiries regarding sales.

How to Submit a Sculpture

Sculptors interested in participating can submit their work online. Each artist may submit up to two sculptures, with each entry requiring high-quality images that clearly depict the artwork. The jury, which is composed of members from the Creative Concord committee, will review all submissions, with selected artists notified in May 2025.
