We had the opportunity to talk with Crystal-Lee Thompson from Allstate on S. Main Street, in Concord, New Hampshire, to learn about the services she offers as well as the effect COVID has had on her business.

Starting in 2003 as an intern in college, she knew it was the place for her. After she managed a couple of Allstate offices and put in years of hard work, she was able to purchase her own agency in 2019. Thompson Insurance Agency prides themselves on creating a family like atmosphere for the customers they serve in the unique state of New Hampshire.

Now you may be curious, what types of insurance does Crystal cover at Thompson Insurance – Allstate? Well, pretty much every single one. From vehicles such as snowmobiles, boats, RVs and motorcycles, employee benefit, and retirement products including 401K, IRA, and rollovers.

Did you know that Allstate Employee benefits offer twice as much coverage as most competitors? (Free to employers, agree to offer to employees, and fully customizable: Short term disability, accident insurance, critical illness coverage, group life insurance, cancer for some industries).

Due to COVID-19 and these unsure times, Crystal has been working overtime. A percentage of people are cancelling their insurance due to hardships, or asking about a lapse of payment, which will overall increase their insurance, but cut back a few payments until they get back on their feet. There has also been an influx of requests for life/health insurance, since many people lost their coverage through work. Allstate was also the “First Company to Offer a Payback” with 15% back in April, May, and June. This Shelter In Place Refund has helped many of her customers.

After years of working in insurance, Crystal is at the top of her game when it comes to customer service.

“I enjoy educating customers, insurance is often about exactly what is covered and not covered.”

She will run into people who have been insured for 30 plus years that don’t know the details of their policy, or the legal jargon. She has made it her mission to make sure all her customers understand their policy.

When it comes to car insurance you want to make sure you have the right coverage when you need it. Although New Hampshire doesn’t require proof of insurance to register, it’s still extremely important to be covered. If you were to get into an accident that was your fault, you would have to pay out of pocket for all the damage that occurred. Some people may think it is cheaper to not have insurance but end up paying so much more out of pocket if something were to happen.

Not only is customer service her top priority, what really sets her apart is how much she gives back.

Over the course of many years Crystal really has honed in on giving back and community service to the surrounding Concord & Manchester, New Hampshire communities.

These include things such as:

  • The Allstate Helping Hands Foundation: Both group and individual grants are given each year to local nonprofits. Over the past 2 to 3 years, has raised over $200,000 in community grants.
  • The Boys & Girls Club: Donated $40,000 between 2018 to this year.
  • Families in Transition: $30,000 Grant.
  • Friendly Kitchen: Most recent grant was for $15,000 but she has also sent meals.
  • Each Christmas there is a Toys for Tots Drive that is held at Thompson Insurance.
  • Sponsored Building Basketball Hoops at Camp Foster which has been recently renovated
  • High School Scholarship: each year.
  • Dunbarton Elementary School: Donated $13,500 to school  to renovate playground area and $500 to PTO.
  • Sponsored Bow Youth Sports (2/year baseball, soccer).
  • Virtual Food Drive – “Helping Hands”. Thompson Insurance agency raised $12,000.

Her newest campaign was working with the Chamber and the Concord Coalition to End Homelessness (CCEH). Through July 31st, 2020, anyone that called through their Facebook page, for a property insurance quote they donated $10 on their behalf to CCEH.

At the end of summer, Thompson Insurance Agency will match, then Allstate will match the total contribution! Talk about going all out for her community.

Above all, Crystal is top-tier when it comes to customer service and knowledgeable in all aspects of insurance.

They pride themselves on providing personalized attention to set themselves apart from the other insurance agencies. You’re not just another customer in her eyes, you’re part of the family.

If you’re in the hunt for an insurance quote, or even just have a few questions regarding coverage, give her a call at (603) 226-3300.

And, if you needed more proof, one of our team members, Mike Visconti, was actually able to save $500 per year on his automotive insurance by switching to Allstate with Crystal!
