Announcement

The United States Department of Labor made the announcement on Wednesday that the five companies were being recognized for their support of the recruitment, employment, and retention of military veterans. Acting Secretary of Labor Julie Su was the one who made the announcement.

Both EXPANSIA Group LLC of N

ashua, a medium-sized firm, and Fusion Cell LLC of Windham, a small business, were presented with Platinum Level Awards. Gold Level Awards were bestowed upon Matrix Business Concepts LLC of Concord, ArgenTech Solutions of Newmarket, and Agility Manufacturing Inc. of Dover. Both ArgenTech Solutions and Matrix Business Concepts LLC are medium-sized firms.

“Recipients of the 2023 HIRE Vets Medallion Award demonstrate a commitment to recruiting, hiring, and retaining veterans as they help them develop meaningful, long-term careers,” Su said. “This award recognizes recipients who have shown a commitment to recruiting, hiring, and retaining veterans.” “These employers, ranging from mom-and-pop shops to those on the Fortune 500 list, understand that veterans are employees who bring something special to the table in terms of their qualifications, dedication, and overall value to the workplace.”

The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act was passed into law in 2017, which led to the establishment of the awards.

According to the department’s announcement, this year’s recipients of the award attested to meeting stringent criteria for employment and veteran integration assistance. These criteria included veteran hiring and retention percentages; availability of veteran-specific resources; leadership programming for veterans; dedicated human resource efforts; and/or compensation and tuition assistance programs for veterans.
