603 Day: Celebrate New Hampshire! – June 2nd and 3rd

Join the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire for an exciting weekend extravaganza! On Friday, June 2nd, enjoy comedy, karaoke, and live music at The Shell in Rollinsford, NH. 

The following day, on June 3rd, we’ll gather at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center in Concord to celebrate New Hampshire culture, featuring speakers, acoustic performances, debates, and more.

 After the event, head to Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester for a Fisher Cats baseball game and fireworks. Purchase tickets separately or as a package deal to save money. Comedy Night tickets are $20, 603 Day tickets are $25, and Fisher Cats baseball game tickets are $10. Save with the all-inclusive package for $50.

Free Bird Walk with NH Audubon and The Friends Program – June 3rd

Explore nature in your neighborhood with an expert educator from NH Audubon. This is a free family-friendly event from 10 AM – 11:30 AM. 

Walk with us to learn about the wildlife in your area. In honor of Black Birders Week, NH Audubon and Friends Program is partnering for a guided nature hike at Keach Park. Walk with us to learn about the wildlife in your area. Meet next to the parking lot. All ages are welcome.

Women’s Wellness Night – June 9th

A night for women to relax and unwind from 4:30 – 8:00 pm. Come for the whole evening or stay for just your service.  Light snacks and beverages will be provided.

Individual professionals in the Wellness Center provide sessions. Payment for each service is to be made directly to that individual at the time of the service. The massage office is only processing payment for Massage & Reiki services.

DownDawg at Darbster- Yoga Class! – June 11th

Sunday, June 11th at 10:00 am we will be having a very exciting event! Previous adopter and owner of “Powerful You Yoga”, Stacey, will be leading a yoga class at our Darbster Doggy facility (Chichester, NH)! We are super excited! With the weather now becoming pleasant, what is better than a spring event of yoga and spending time with animals?

Open Democracy & Open Democracy Action Annual Meeting – June 14th

We’ll celebrate our successes of the past 12 months, update you on the Strategic Planning process, elect Board members, and enjoy great food and each other’s company! There will be awards for Democracy Champions and Outstanding Civic Stewardship. Live music will be provided by Fortune’s Favor.

This will be a joint Annual Meeting of the Coalition for Open Democracy and Open Democracy Action.

Tickets are just $25 each (As always, if cost is a barrier to attendance, email Olivia@opendemocracy.me or Doreen@opendemocracy.me for a donated ticket).

Open Democracy will provide the meat and drinks for the event. Salads and desserts will be potluck. 

Safety Around Water Classes – June, 19th – June, 23rd 

Our FREE YMCA Safety Around Water Program can help you make sure children learn essential water safety skills, which can open up a world of possibilities for them to satisfy their curiosity safely. This class is geared toward unintended entries into the water and safety. Registration is REQUIRED.

CLASSES OFFERED

  • Preschool (3 – 5 years) from 3:00 – 3:30 pm
  • Youth (6 – 13 years) from 3:30 – 4:00 pm
  • Teen (12 – 18 years) from 4:00 – 4:30 pm

Summer Solstice Morning Hike – June 21st

Celebrate the changing of the seasons with this beginner-level hike. This 2.6-mile loop generally takes about an hour to complete and has some great views of Turkey Pond. 

Directions: Take I-89 to exit 2, and turn left off the ramp onto Clinton Street. At the first blinking light, turn right onto Silk Farm Road. The entrance to the McLane Center is on the left. Most trails begin at the trailhead near the kiosk.

Spaces are limited. If you sign up but are unable to attend, please cancel your registration via Eventbrite or email classes@concordfoodcoop.coop 

Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes/boots, and layers suitable for the weather, and bring along some drinking water. Children under 18 are invited to participate if they are accompanied by an adult for the duration of the trial. Dogs are not allowed.

49th Annual Market Days Festival – June 22nd – June 24th

Market Days Festival RETURNS to downtown Concord for its 49th year.
