As summer hits its stride, Concord is gearing up for a lively weekend filled with creativity, culture, and community spirit. Whether you’re looking to browse handcrafted goods in the park, admire classic and custom cars downtown, or explore the city in a fresh and interactive way, there’s something happening to match your mood. Here are three standout events to check out this Saturday and Sunday in the Capital City.

1. Concord Arts Market: Arts in the Park

Saturday, July 12 | 10 AM – 3 PM

Rollins Park, Concord

The Concord Arts Market returns to Rollins Park with its popular Arts in the Park event, a juried outdoor showcase featuring over 65 local artists and makers. This event focuses on regional talent, where visitors can find one of a kind items like fine art, photography, jewelry, pottery, and more.

In addition to the visual art, the event promises live music, hands-on activities, and food vendors. It’s a family-friendly outing with a welcoming, festival-like atmosphere. It is the perfect way to spend a summer Saturday morning or afternoon.

Founded in 2008, the Concord Arts Market has become a staple of the local arts scene, giving artists a space to connect with the public and each other. The event is free to attend, runs rain or shine, and serves as a great opportunity to support small businesses and creators in a relaxed, community setting.

2. Cars & Coffee on Capitol

Sunday, July 13 | 8 AM – 11 AM

Capitol Street, Downtown Concord

Car enthusiasts and casual admirers will want to make their way to downtown Concord for Cars & Coffee on Capitol, hosted by Revelstoke Coffee. This laid-back car gathering takes place on the second Sunday of each month from April to November and draws a variety of vehicles. This wide range includes classic muscle cars, to exotic and custom builds.

Capitol Street, Park Street, and State Street are closed to regular traffic for the event, transforming the area in front of the State House into a temporary open-air car show. Revelstoke Coffee, located directly across from the show, fuels the morning with quality coffee and light fare.

There’s no registration required and no cost to attend or show a car, making it a welcoming, come-as-you-are environment. It’s a great way to start your Sunday; grab a drink, take a stroll, and enjoy Concord’s scenic downtown in the early hours before it heats up.
