Labor Day offers one final chance to soak in summer before school routines return and fall settles in. Across New Hampshire, people mark the holiday with parades, barbecues, festivals, and family outings. Few events in New Hampshire are as steeped in tradition as the Milford Labor Day Parade. This year’s event includes a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the newly renovated town bandstand at 11:00 AM, followed by the parade itself at 1:00 PM.

The parade route starts at Milford High School and continues through West Street and the Oval before concluding at the local VFW Post. The event draws local marching bands, civic groups, veterans, and community organizations. With flags waving and streets lined with families, it’s a quintessential way to honor both labor and community on this national holiday.
