Concord moms looking for connection, movement, and a little fun with their kids have something new to look forward to this fall. Worthy Mind & Movement, a downtown Concord fitness studio known for its glow-in-the-dark yoga nights and community-focused classes, is launching a 4-week Mommy & Me Barre series beginning Friday, September 5th from 10:30–11:30am.
The series is designed for caretakers and their children, offering a chance to move together in a supportive, flexible environment. Each session costs just $20 for the caretaker, with children joining free of charge. Space is intentionally kept small — limited to five caretaker/child pairs — to create an intimate, welcoming experience.
A Different Kind of Fitness Class
Unlike traditional workout programs, the Mommy & Me Barre series was created with the realities of motherhood in mind. Moms can arrive late, leave early, or step out if their little one needs attention. Children of all ages are welcome — from babies to homeschoolers — and they can move, play, or work on activities nearby while their moms take part in class.
The goal? To provide a no-pressure space where moms can take time for themselves while still being present for their kids.
Why It Matters
For moms, finding community is just as important as finding time to exercise. These classes give women the chance to meet others going through the same stage of life, while also modeling healthy habits for their children.
“Kids watch everything we do,” says the Worthy Mind & Movement team. “When they see their moms prioritizing wellness, connection, and joy, it plants a powerful seed early on.”
About Worthy Mind & Movement
Since opening in 2022, Worthy Mind & Movement has become known for making fitness in Concord fun, inclusive, and community-driven. What began with sold-out pop-up Glow Nights has grown into a full downtown studio at 48 South Main Street, offering a wide range of weekly yoga, barre, and cardio classes, as well as special events and workshops.
The new Mommy & Me Barre series continues the studio’s mission of creating spaces where everyone feels welcome — and where movement feels like a celebration.
