Families, neighbors, and local first responders will come together in Concord next month as the city hosts its 42nd Annual National Night Out. The free community event will focus on safety, crime prevention, and strengthening relationships between residents and law enforcement.
The event will take place on Tuesday, August 4, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Rollins Park. Admission is free and open to all ages.
Family Friendly Activities Planned
National Night Out offers residents an opportunity to meet local police officers, firefighters, emergency personnel, and community organizations in a fun and welcoming setting.
This year’s event will feature:
- Meet your local law enforcement officers
- Police vehicles and demonstrations
- Touch-a-Truck featuring police, fire, and General Services vehicles
- Fire safety and prevention displays
- Interactive activities for children
- Music and dancing with DJ Nazzy
- Food and drinks
- A New Hampshire National Guard Black Hawk helicopter
Along with even more activities throughout the evening.
Numerous local businesses and community organizations will also have booths to share information about the services and resources they provide.
Parking and Shuttle Information
Free parking will be available at Rundlett Middle School, with complimentary shuttle service transporting visitors to and from Rollins Park throughout the event.

National Night Out is an annual community building campaign held on the first Tuesday in August across the United States. The event promotes partnerships between law enforcement and the communities they serve while encouraging neighbors to connect and work together to help prevent crime.
First launched in 1984 by the National Association of Town Watch, National Night Out has grown from an event involving 2.5 million people in 400 communities to one that now includes millions of participants in thousands of communities across all 50 states, U.S. territories, and military installations worldwide.
