Recently, we had the pleasure of talking with Ryan Hvizda from Bona Fide Green Goods, and her experience as one of the new owners of the 15 year old business, now located on North Main Street in Concord.
She owns the store with her husband Mike Hvizda, and business partners Amanda & Mandy Hackett.
For years BonaFide has been the go to store for earth friendly home goods and gifts. Since taking ownership, the team has increased the selection of non-toxic and sustainable products, and they’ve brought in more local makers so they can help bring locally handmade products to a larger audience.
When we asked Ryan about how she became interested in purchasing and taking over BonaFide Green Goods, she said “Since 2003, I’ve been searching for ways to help the world be more sustainable and resilient.”
According to Ryan, BonaFide Green Goods is more than a place to buy green and environmentally friendly products. She says, “We don’t want to be just a retail store, we want to educate and make sustainability economically accessible.”
They also provide unique services to the NH community as a Pickup location for 2 CSA’s (Community Supported Agriculture). This means supporting our local farmers throughout the growing season and bringing their goods to more shoppers in the area.
Bona Fide Green Goods has recently delayed the Spring Launch of their crowdfund campaign to expand their bulk cleaning and body care products. These products are non-toxic, plastic free, and will be refillable at the BonaFide Green Goods storefront and keep an eye out in 2020 for more info.

They have also quickly adapted to the current situation affecting all small local businesses.
