This past week, we had a chat with Connor and Kayla, owners of NH Junk Removal, right here in Concord.
NH Junk Removal is a commercial and residential junk removal and cleaning service founded by Connor’s father in 2012. Since those early days, the NH Junk Removal team has grown, and expanded their services.
As some residents of Concord may recall, one of NH Junk Removal’s first marketing efforts was when the business first got started. This grassroots outreach was done by Connor’s father, who was going door-to-door, greeting potential customers, and offering NH Junk Removal services while handing out bright yellow flyers. This helped them build a happy customer base, which has earned many new customer referrals over the years.
Now, 9 years later, Connor, Kayla, and the team have completed all kinds of pickups, junk removals, and cleaning jobs for businesses and residents across New Hampshire.
Connor says, “Kayla has been huge part in giving me all the encouragement I could ever ask for. But also she has been a huge help with the office management as well as physical labor. She is also the owner of the business and I can confidently say, that without her we would not be where we are today.”
According to the NH Junk Removal website, the team can remove all kinds of clutter that many of us keep for too long.
Connor says, “We’ve done it all, antiques, major cleanouts, small pickups. We did an entire estate in Henniker that had been in the family for about 100 years, with two separate homes on the property. That one took almost a month, but we got it done and they were very pleased with the results.”
This includes household items like appliances, furniture, electronics, oil tanks, furnaces, hot water tanks, air conditioners, and even pianos. And, they will demolish old sheds, barns, remove old vehicles, as well as clean out attics, basements, and garages.
Now in March of 2021, Connor tells us that he would like to see NH Junk Removal start expanding more towards the Lakes region here in New Hampshire, such as Meredith. In addition to covering a larger service area, another way NH Junk Removal may enhance their services is through providing roll-off dumpster rentals. This can be useful for those customers that need de-clutter on their own.
When we asked Connor about how he and the team have responded to COVID-19, Connor said, “At first, we were a bit nervous, but it has kept us busy. The real estate market is on fire. Surprisingly.“
