Concord Hospital Trust is pleased to announce the 18th annual Pedaling for Payson event scheduled to take place Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Elm Brook State Park in Hopkinton, NH. Proceeds raised will assist individuals receiving cancer treatment.

Presented by Concord Orthopaedics, Pedaling for Payson offers three scenic routes ranging from 16 to 50 miles. The event will also include a fun, adventurous mountain bike ride or gravel bike ride with variable start times.

Who Can Participate?

Riders of all abilities and ages are welcome to participate in Pedaling for Payson. The event will also feature a post-ride barbeque and beverages provided courtesy of NH Distributors.

“Through the generosity of our riders, donors, and sponsors, we were truly fortunate to have raised over $161,000 last year from this fun event,” commented Pamela Puleo, chief advancement officer. “This enabled us to assist 152 patients with services during their cancer treatment.”

All event proceeds will benefit the Pedaling for Hope Fund, which largely funds a Nurse Navigator Program at Concord Hospital’s Payson Center for Cancer Care. Nurse Navigators assist patients and their families to ease them through cancer treatment. They also help patients with managing treatment schedules, cope with side effects, overcome logistical issues with treatment, as well as communicate with physicians and specialists.

Additional event sponsors include Concord Imaging Center, Johnny Prescott Heating Oil & Propane, Swenson Granite Works, Harvey Construction, Voya Financial, and Dennehy & Bouley. In addition, Ragged Mountain, S&W Sports, and Trek Bicycle are in-kind sponsors.

All event registrations and donations will support our neighbors in their fight against cancer.
