The Junior Service League of Concord (JSL) will return to the course this May for its annual golf tournament. The event brings supporters together for a day that blends competition with community impact.
The 8th Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, May 11, at Pembroke Pines Country Club in Pembroke.
The event serves as one of the organization’s key fundraisers, supporting programs that assist women and children in crisis across the greater Concord area.
A Day of Golf With Community Impact
The tournament will follow a four person scramble format, beginning with registration at 7 a.m. and a shotgun start at 8 a.m. The day concludes with a banquet lunch at 1 p.m., along with awards, raffles, and contests.
Organizers describe the event as both competitive and community driven, offering participants a chance to connect with local businesses and residents while supporting a cause that stays close to home.
Foursomes are priced at $650, and sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses and individuals looking to contribute further.
Supporting a 95 Year Legacy of Service
Founded in 1931, the Junior Service League of Concord is a volunteer-run nonprofit focused on providing direct assistance to those facing hardship. In 2026, the organization marks 95 years of service in the region.
JSL’s work centers on meeting immediate needs through financial assistance, grants, and hands on volunteer efforts. The organization partners with a range of local nonprofits, including The Friendly Kitchen, Boys & Girls Club of Greater Concord, and The Mayhew Program, among others.
In the past year alone, members contributed more than 2,000 volunteer hours and raised nearly $40,000 to support these efforts.
Keeping Support Local
A defining aspect of JSL’s approach is its focus on local impact. Nearly all funds raised are directed back into the community, helping individuals and families across Merrimack County during times of crisis.
Event organizers emphasize that participation in the tournament goes beyond a day of golf. It directly contributes to emergency support, community partnerships, and ongoing service projects that address evolving needs in the region.
